This Chardonnay comes from our estate-grown grapes in the Edna Valley, namely Firepeak Vineyard and Paragon Vineyard. Both located at the western end of the Valley, they benefit from the maritime influence of the Pacific Ocean. Lying only four miles to the west, it provides morning fog and afternoon cool breezes, keeping the climate temperate and creating a long, cool growing season. This additional time on the vine allows the grapes to develop intense, complex, and extraordinary varietal flavors.

A very drinkable wine, our Estate Chardonnay is made in an atypical California style. It has familiar tropical fruit flavors and a slight lemony character, but it is also full, rich and round. The complexities it affords are carefully balanced, making it the perfect little sister to our GFC Chardonnay.
